Repeating my request for Haymitch Xander to make his way onto the English team.
Fine, if it's what you want, then I'll make Xander be on the English team alongside Rooney (for this time, because I anticipated that the ADR-verse would be quite similar but different to our world)

EDIT: Uploaded the picture

I have edited the Empire of Cincorop a little bit and also changed it's colour a bit if that's allowed.

I imagine that either the Cincorop border is further south or the Judean border is further North.

Hello !
Why not a France with Wallonia (and paris united) but no Alsace-lorraine? Also maybe with the north of Algeria, that could compensate for the lose of normandy, brittany and alsace lorraine.

By the way, is the VMA now formally acceptable, Alex Richards?

I think it is now yes.

Not necessarily, maybe they were in wars some time back and that bit of Turkey is there as a buffer.

Are you actually claiming or just suggesting? Because East Paris and Burgundy are definitely already taken, and I wouldn't suggest forcing expansions to France to try and make it balanced to OTL- that kind of misses the point.

Hi folks, I warned you I'd be busy...

Anyway, good progress on the teams so far. Remember we'll probably be aiming at 24 teams, so there are plenty of spaces left. And of course there should be plenty of nations that haven't qualified, we can fill them in later.

At the moment we have 14 (15 actually - I'll claim one later):
  • CNC - Cincorop Empire of Cincorop - post
  • MCD - Macedonia Macedonian Empire - post
  • VMA - Mitteleuropa United Central European Workers' Republics - post *
  • ENG - England Kingdom of England - post
  • CHR - Chrobatia Republic of Chrobatia - post
  • JDA - Judea United Kingdom of Judea - post **
  • NOR - Norway Kingdom of Norway - post
  • DFB - Flanders-Brabant Duchy of Flanders-Brabant - post
  • BUR - Burgundy Republic of Burgundy - post *
  • BLT - Baltica United Baltic Duchy - post
  • MLN - Milan Grand Duchy of Milan - post
  • BRT - Britanny Commonwealth of Brittany - post ***
  • TSV - Transylvania Kingdom of Transylvania - post
  • GRA - Graecia Kingdom of Graecia - post
* I think splitting Switzerland by language makes sense. The Italian bits could go to Milan, but unless Alex requests them we've got a Free Republic of Ticino. Of course they're about as likely to qualify for the Euros as Luxembourg...
** Judea is verging on too big, but I'd say include it just for the reason that it probably would be in the European rather than African or Asian cups. Macedonia definitely gets Cyprus though.
*** @Baconheimer - is Britanny/Brittany intentionally spelled differently in TTL, or was that just a typo?

And here's a map. I hope the borders are acceptable to everyone, but they're not exactly the important thing here:

I just love the concept of a Free Republic of Ticino. I'd be inclined to say Sondrio should go the same way even if somebody claims Venice...

Regarding hosting we should really wait until all the competing nations have been decided on.
As a reminder we did have the 2012 Euros in Germany (actually a joint North Germany-South Germany bid), so personally I'd prefer somewhere different - sorry @PiratePartyist. England, Chrobatia and Macedonia would seem the most likely at first glance - Judea is probably an outside shot like Turkey (or Qatar!) OTL.

We will see... my bid still stands, but I understand that it would be preferable to be hosted somewhere else than again in a communist Germany. However, if nobody else bids...

Idea for tension: a North/South Cyprus split, with the [legitimate] Macedonian Cyprus and a [partly recognized] East (Judean) Cyprus?

Hey, if anything, the government of the Doux of Cyprus is the legitimate government and not the would be Macedonian usurpers.
