This isn't a football forum- we don't have the interest to actually run anything decent outside of the major tournaments- I mean Martin was dead against running anything in the off years and has taken a break due to a lot of RL issues coming at once anyway and I quite literally don't care about football to the extent that I followed AHFA 2012 more than the actual Euros (this year was different- Wales managed to actually get me invested in the tournament for literally the first time ever).

Simply put, a lot of guys on here, and a lot of guys in this thread I expect, have quite busy lives. Taking some time out for an event like the tournaments feels like a relatively small amount of work for the payoff considering the amount of enthusiasm you'll get. Trying to run something year round is a lot of work for very little payoff.

Fair enough, I propose 2017 will be a off-year for football tournaments within the AH community then. We should focus on spin-off events like the ABU Eurovision, and other sports that other could run etc.

We have the alternate alternate Euros coming up, just as soon as I get the squads for the Hungary and Paris teams. If that's successful I might consider running a league and cup, it's more 'bang for the buck' as they say once I've taken the time to create the teams at least they all get to play more than three games. It's a different format but there's nothing to stop people writing their own match reports on the games, in fact that would be a very nice addition.
