What do the Swastikas entail? Certainly doesn't like the Nazis won, but they don't seem to correlate with fallout. Are they cities w/ a strong Neo-Nazi presence?

The Russian state is the Grand Duchy of Smolensk, and it's indeed a France/Bavaria/Scandinavia wank; I'm trying to go for a bluewank, with a hint of purple and green.
  4. AHC: President Fred Karger in 2012

In 2012, Fred Karger ran for president on the Republican ticket, becoming the first openly gay candidate running on a major party. He wasn't present at the debates, and he ended his campaign after mediocre performance in primaries. How can we make it so that he wins the Republican nomination...

That NM seems a little wonky logistically; I feel like Sonora would be its own state if only for the sake of effective communication and governance. Did the U.S. annex Baja California? Also, please don't quote pics, especially large maps.
  7. WI: Nathan Hale survives?

As someone who grew up and lives in Coventry, CT, it's cool to see our only point of relevancy coming up on here. Even so, I'd have to agree that Nathan Hale surviving in itself would only mean that he has a normal life, and maybe someone else takes the role of revolutionary martyr that he did.
  8. AHC: Socialist Industrial Revolution

The motive of competition is a strong driving force behind industrialization. With a lot of alt-Industrial Revolutions that are proposed (sub-Saharan Africa, Song Dynasty, Romans, etc.), one of the main issues (to be fair, among many others) is that there was no competitive market that warranted...

What on Earth is going on with Hungary and Bavaria? I see Bavaria ate up Bohemia, and then the Hapsburgs flip titles or something? I'm struggling to imagine a PoD that allows for that North America to coincide with a Hungarian hegemony in central Europe and a reverse Iberian Wedding. Also, the...

United European Socialist Republics by GrudgeReport: Following the defeat of the Entente during WWI, the French Third Republic falls to a communist revolution. Internationalist in nature, the new state seeks to spread communism throughout the world. Economic downturn and a growing distrust of...
  12. Let's Screw Up European Colonization In Africa By Cramming A Bunch Of Other Powers In

IMO, I could see the following countries getting involved in African colonization: -Austria/Austria-Hungary (not on any grand scale, but purely prestigious endeavors in perhaps Libya or Somalia) -Greece (see above) -Sardinia-Piedmont/Two Sicilies/any regional Italian power -Netherlands...

Interesting map, a few points/questions: 1) With a POD in the American Revolution, WWI still starts in 1914 because Austria issues an ultimatum to Serbia after the assassination of an Austrian politician by a Bosnian Serb nationalist? 2) The idea of a Caribbean union ignores the very...

Is that an independent Louisiana? It's northern border w/ Canada seems vaguely like the OTL border of the territory, but arbitrarily different

It looks like Utah is a close match between the USA and FRA, I can't tell who won out in the plebiscite. If the USA won out, I can't help but feel like that small corridor to Utah would be an absolute nightmare logistically speaking.

Really interesting and unique! I quite like it, I imagine it would be a nightmare logistically, though.

I can't help but feel like the UK wouldn't allow the French to annex Wallonia, so soon after 1815. This was one of the main fears of the Belgian Revolution - that the French would annex the whole territory. Especially with the revolution failing, I can't imagine the British allowing anything...
