The US never declared war on Finland during WW2, and only broke off diplomatic relations due to heavy lobbying from the Soviet government. The US government reopened diplomatic relations pretty much immediately after Finland stopped overtly cooperating with the Nazis.
Probably only a few people...
It'll be interesting to see the effects Carter losing has on the Democratic Party ITTL. 1976 was the second Presidential race after the McGovern-Fraser recommendations and the first in which primaries (rather than caucuses) dominated the primary process, so Carter was in many ways a test-run for...
So, Algeria is working on getting out of the war, while Libya has decided they REALLY want to fight the United States. I guess a UNSC resolution isn't needed when your opponent did you the courtesy of triggering NATO's Article 5.

Oh you clever bastard, you got us hooked by getting us thinking this was an Americal politics timeline, when in fact it's about a major war in North Africa and the formation of a Pan-European Military. :p
Forgive me for forgetting this, but what happened with Vienna? Did it remain divided like East and West Berlin, or did all of Vienna get incorporated into the Soviet Zone (and thus into East Austria)?
