  1. The Time of Eagles

I enjoy your prose sections more than strict date/outline. Keep up the good work. I don't see how you can believe noone cares about this timeline. Look at all the viewers.
  2. A 'proper' Anglo-Russian War

Also read KIM by Rudyard Kipling. The Great Game was against Russian agents trying to rouse Afgan Tribes and Indian states against the Raj. This was set in 1878 or thereabouts.
  3. The 2nd Great War

Can you do this and still keep Germany a democracy? Without making Germany the bad guys?
  4. The Chiefdom of Comancheria

I likee the idea and will follow it with interest. I don't think you need to delete the mutation. you might want to add that the lesser disease deaths caused them to expand their population, already greater than their neighbors, and they were forcing those neighbors from traditional hunting...
  5. Roman sailor accidently discovers America???

During Imperial Rome there were giant grain ships carrying the grain for the 'bread' part of the bread and circuses. Unfortunitely for this TL they were really slow barges with square sails. The best prospect would be the Venetti 'Atlantic' ships.
  6. Britain for the British

I find this interesting. What is the third house of parliament? With a cadre of two a Sergeant and a Major the Irish Army needed a lot of luck and incompetant English to have a chance.
  7. Theodore Roosevelt, Progressive, elected US President in 1912

This is interesting. It appears fairly realistic given your assumptions. As a veteran, I can believe politicians would screwover the soldiers in the expeditionary force, but I really hope they would get the POWs back. The time for deploying it would be nearer six months than six weeks. I...
  8. Tudor bulls, meet 16th century German china shop.

This is interesting. I think that the big problem will be the Hapsbergs. They benefited the most from the continual breakup of potential rival powers each generation. I am curius to see how you handwave this? Robert
  9. Screaming Eagles in Arnhem

I agree with Stalkere. Despite being Airborne and serving in US 82d before and during Viet Nam, if the Arnhem's drop zones were the same, I believe the result would be the same. The affect on US/UK relations would be very severe. The US troops would not trust UK troops to serve next to...
  10. Northern Storm: Second Korean War 2003 TL

Having been a Battalion S2 in Korea, but before Ed was there. I remember scenarios where we asssumed the Colts would be landed on air bases to destroy ammo stocks, fuel stocks and planes on the ground. In addition we thought they would land on or near our artillery near their planned...
  11. WI: The ROKA stopped the NKA in June 1950?

Yes. Syngman Rhee was not considered the most stable and pacifistic person around.
  12. WI: The ROKA stopped the NKA in June 1950?

Of course, why would we arm the ROKA better than our troops in Japan. Japan was the closest place to get reinforcements for Korea. The Divisions were organized as Constabulary for occupation duty. The Infantry 'Regiments' had only two battalions and they were understrength, all this for...
  13. Look to the West (Thande's first proper timeline, and it's about time!)

Good post Thande. I like the extra Regimental Colors. Keep posts coming.
  14. Division of Texas

Regarding the original question. Never happen. There are not five Alamos.
