    The RAF doesn't currently have AWACS and unless the battle takes place over UK airspace it doesn't have ground radar either. Unless there's something I haven't read about.

    The thing is if the F22 is in a dogfight something has gone very wrong. The F22 would have AWACS or ground/naval radar guidance and a Typhoon will have to beat a lot of missiles and electronics long before it can get a lock.

    My grandmother's house in Bootle was damaged by the blast from a bomb that landed in the back yard of the house opposite. I can remember as a kid in playing on the bombsite in the late 60s. It was the 1990s before the last bomb damaged buildings and bombsites were repaired and cleaned up.
