What if the Crusader forces under Bohemond, Prince of Antioch, and Baldwin II, Count of Edessa (and future King of Jerusalem) had managed to not get caught in a trap and slaughtered by the Seljuks of Mosul at the Battle of Harran, in 1104 AD?
If Bohemond avoids disaster and humiliation, where will he wish to expand next? Perhaps his rivalry with the Byzantines could lead to strengthening of ties with Armenian Cilicia. Will the County of Tripoli still be created?
What about Baldwin and Edessa? If his state is victorious against the Seljuks, will he be emboldened into making further incursions and conquests eastwards across Upper Mesopotamia?

With Baldwin II busy in Upper Mesopotamia, will the barons of Jerusalem decide to elect Eustace of Boulogne as their king instead, as per the wishes of Baldwin I?
