Right then . . . This is going to be my final update on my Germany run of the gsg mod. I've accomplished the goals I set out to achieve for Germany. Even if I continued to 1936, or whenever the gsg mod ends, the borders of the German Empire would not change from decade to decade. The only thing that would change for Germany would be the percentage of its population that is German as the ruthless Germanization of the Empire continued.
European Germany, the heart and soul of the German Empire, as seen through the Political Filter.
The parts of Germany in solid green are considered to be integral parts of the German Empire. I have Cores on every single solid province.
Those parts of Germany with the lines through them, which I've helpfully highlighted, have yet to be fully integrated into the German Empire. However, all of those provinces were in the process of being integrated. I'd actually be surprised if they weren't all Cores by 1936.
If Germany were to lose the Non-Core provinces . . . The small bit to the left would likely go to the Greater Netherlands. The small bit to the south would likely go to Hungary. As for the larger area in the east . . . Things would probably get reshuffled a little bit, but I'm not seeing much of a Poland. I mean, they might call themselves that, but at best I'd imagine you could get Galicia-Lodomeria out of that.
Of course, even if you grabbed every person in the Empire who still thought of themselves of Polish . . . All those who haven't been removed or assimilated . . . Galicia-Lodomeria would probably have a population of less than 1 Million. Assuming you managed to evict the German population. (Though having a small population isn't exactly an impediment. There are States in the US that are larger and have less than 1 Million people living in them.)
Speaking of the German population, and why I imagine it would be extremely unlikely that these provinces won't become Cores . . .
Here we can see Germany as seen under the Nationality Filter.
Now, this doesn't necessarily mean that Germany proper is always German all the time. It simply means that the Germans are a significant majority, even in the heart of Bohemia-Moravia, Poland, and the Baltics.
And here we have a map of the entire world as of the Year 1900. In this way, you can gaze upon the German Empire in all of its glory.
The world's Great Powers are as follows: the German Empire, the British Empire, France, the United States of America, the Russian Empire, Italy, the Netherlands, and the Japanese Empire.
Minor Allies of the German Empire: Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Gran Colombia, and the Federal Republic of Central America.
Major Allies of the German Empire: the British Empire and the United States of America.
And just to put it out there . . . Other Alliances between the Great Powers: Italy is allied with the Netherlands. France is allied with Russia. Japan has no allies.
The German Empire has a population of 178 Million.
137 Million are German. 41 Million are Non-German.
The German Empire is damn near 80% Christian.
Here is a map of the world should the German Empire choose to disband its colonial empire. Of course, as you should be able to see, I wasn't quite able to totally disband it.
It still controls most of the Pacific, the eastern half of New Guinea, and the northern half of German Southwest Africa.
And here is the population of the German Empire, minus the Empire.
Suddenly it finds itself to be 100% German and 100% Christian.
Without the majority of its colonial empire, it has a population of 127 Million.
While not a perfect fit, as it didn't get rid of everything, we can infer that 10 Million of the Germans living within the German Empire have seen fit to settle the colonies.
------------------------------
Anyways, as I said, this is pretty much my final update.
Again, the only thing that would really change in future updates would be that the German Empire's population would get more German and more Christian.
Otherwise? Feel free to ask any questions about the state of the world. (Like if you aren't clear about who owns a specific chunk of land or whatever.
