My current list includes:

  • Jutes
  • Thuringii
  • Teutons
  • Gepids
  • Alamanni
  • Bavarii
  • Franks
  • Saxons
  • Vandals
  • Angles
  • Lombards
  • Suebi
  • Burgundians
  • Goths (Visigothic and Ostrogothic)
That essentially covers all of GroBdeutschland. As well as Denmark, France, Northern Italy, and Spain, and lastly England. But I can't help but think i'm still missing like... two major Germanic tribes.

EDIT: The Batavians might be one... as from what i can tell they evolved into the Dutch

Well, there were the Rugians http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugii , but they got folded into the Ostrogoths eventually. The Marcomanni http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcomanni seem to have similarly joined the Suebi. And the Quadi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadi seem to be downright obscure. The Hermanduri http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermunduri and the Sennones (for which I can't find a good website) were earlier, not-seen-later tribes which may have evolved or joined into other groups.

I see our Turkish forumite has suddenly gained political office. Anyways, well done, though I would agree that it requires some polishing.

Having recognised that I am better at writing TL material than making maps, my current strategy is to do quick informative maps and hope some of my fans will use the information to make cartographic masterpieces as fanart ;)

The world as of 1838 in my TL The Federal Republic of America.

Some fun facts:

Andrew Jackson is the dictator of the FRA.

France is still Napoleonic and Imperial.

The HRE and the Austrian Empire Exist at the same time and Austria dominates Southern Germnay.

Prussia wants no part of Pan-German nationalism.

Hanover is ITTL's Belgium for Britain.

The Egyptian Sultanate is modernising power house that helped destory the Ottoman Empire.

Stuff happens in South America.

Mexico has an Emperor.

No Carlist Wars and a Spanish resurgence.

Love the Austrians, but you could work on SA it looks like you just randomly drew stuff everywhere
How, exactly? Most of those make some historical sense. Colombia had clams on Ecuador and the Oriente, Peru had claims on the Oriente and can certainly unite with Bolivia, while Chile was part of the Incas. Brazil had, in OTL, some independence movements in the north. Venezuela's southern border is a bit suspect but not too major. The borders themselves are not that bad, all things considered.
