  1. Why do the Bolsheviks lose the Russian Civil War whenever the Central Powers win World War I?

The soviets had years longer than the whites to play that out and there were plenty of cruel bastards on that side of the civil war so im not convinced its quite an adequate point of comparison. Not to say the Soviets weren't horrible, they were, but we truly can't say if a theoretical white...

  5. Is it possible for an East Germanic language to survive to the present day?

The crimean goths would be your best bet, they stuck around thr longest though by later years their language was heavily mixed with the language of the neighbouring crimean tatars. Something would need to happen to avoid their assimilation, like byzantine rule being maintained as mentioned above.
  6. To the Victor, Go the Spoils (Redux): A Plausible Central Powers Victory

Austria Hungary will probably keep trucking along for a while longer, if only throug inertia and German support. Not sure how much of a lifespan it has in the long term though.
  7. To the Victor, Go the Spoils (Redux): A Plausible Central Powers Victory

Try not to take things too personally, as that whole mess earlier showed, there's only so much you can do to convince people and letting yourself react to every person that doesnt agree with you is just gonna burn you out In the long run.
  8. WI: Admiral Yi dies before or during Japan's invasion?

An ascendant Qing or Shun probably wouldn't want the Japanese in Korea either so continued conflict with a Chinese empire if not the Ming is pretty much inevitable
  9. To the Victor, Go the Spoils (Redux): A Plausible Central Powers Victory

Your just going to get mods involved if you continue. Leave it and move on so your not hurting the timeline, this is not a forum for these kind of discussions, if you thought it questionable than contact a mod yourself.
  10. To the Victor, Go the Spoils (Redux): A Plausible Central Powers Victory

My worry for the initial plan was not that the Germans wouldn't order it but that the crews would be unlikely to go for it. Having it start but essentially collapse before it went anywhere due to crew unrest and quick British maneuvering seems a logical outcome to me.
  11. PC : Partial German victory in ww1 ?

My opinion is that the most likely result is a deeply disliked status quo ante bellum , at most a minor victory for one side with little substantial change compared to otl versailes
  12. To the Victor, Go the Spoils (Redux): A Plausible Central Powers Victory

I as someone who also sufferers from anxiety I can understand how difficult it can be. Ultimately, you won't be able to satisfy everyone no matter how much research or evidence you get as personal opinion dominates and people can get very unpleasent when their beliefs, even relativelly...

  14. 沒有國民黨就沒有中國, Without the Kuomintang there would be no China, A Republic of China Story

Probably not something there capable of for both practical and ideological reasons
  15. With the Crescent Above Us 2.0: An Ottoman Timeline

Honestly, losing some Christian territory is probably for the best, it'd just going to be an eternal source of unrest and instability and therr isn't really a way to fully solve it given how much resentment of the ottomans there are In those territories.
  16. The Jaguar's Roar - An Aztec Timeline

A hapsburg dynast divided into a protestant Austrian branch and a Catholic Spanish branch would be an interesting divergence to see and would definitely effect those Germany develops in the future. Seeing what purepecha are up to would be cool, it be interesting to see more on how the aztecs...
  17. The Russian Century - a TL

Being better industrialised doesn't change the severe issues the Russian army had and the Japanese weren't pushovers by any means.
  18. The Jaguar's Roar - An Aztec Timeline

The aztecs were likely doomed long term as mass sacrifice was both too central to get rid off easily and too self destructive. However, there's a near certain chance that they will be replaced by new native powers rather than colonial conquest so mesoamerican culture as a whole will survive...
  19. The Sands of Purple: An Islamic Greece TL

it's simply ignoring too many things for my liking, I know it's not the point of the timeline but I just can't accept such massive things being given basically no explanation. I don't think a Muslim conquest of Italy is impossible but it certainly required more justification than what was given...
  20. The Sands of Purple: An Islamic Greece TL

My main issue over the Italian conquest is that it was kinda just skimmed over. You just said they conquered it without explaining the how's or the fact that they would have to have beaten the lombards as well, their only pasingly mentioned later on. The fact that Rome, the center of Western...
