Create an AH about the creation and development of a world wide language, spoken by most persons on earth. A few vocablary would be nice :)

Toynbee, in his "Three Lives," talks about world unified by Yahwism and Aramaic:

"Today the whole World worships the local god of Jerusalem and the whole World uses the Aramaic language as its lingua franca. The language and the religion have conquered the world together, as we know; and this opportunity, which they have jointly seized, has been given to them by Ochus' agreement with Philip that the states of southern Syria should be independent and neutral."

We are starting to do that

In a way, we're beginning to do that with the English language. English has practically become the international language of business, and I think of air traffic controllers worldwide. You can go to almost any country in the world and find quite a number of people who can speak at least some English.

The English language?

English is already approaching that point (although it hasn't completely gotten there).

Perhaps in a few decades a fusion of English and Chinese (think Firefly).

Actually Singapore English is probably what you'd get- a base of English with expressions and colloquilalities from various languages. :D
