And by that I men, what if Dewey actually did defeat Truman in 1948? Articles accidentally claiming that Truman is the winner are not required, but are a bonus. :p

It's been suggested by several (including Dewey) that Wallace not running would tar Truman with the Communist canard.
As for the Tribune having a different headline, that's extremely unlikely. It was majorly right-wing.
