WI Roman Republic annexed Egypt in 80 BC?

With a concentrated Roman presence in the east as early as 80 BCE, what use would Judea or Galilee be if they don't serve as Rome-sponsored buffer-states?

Well... Romans could retain the Sanhedrin or appoint some nominal Kings to Judaea only to appease the rebelious people there

If the Romans are already close enough to Mesopotamia, would "appeasing" the local Judean population be all that important? If Jerusalem is sacked, its pretty much over for Judeans. They only tolerated them for the first couple of hundreds IOTL because they were on the frontier, and could have potentially called upon the help of the Parthians.
