WI: Reds-style socialist revolution in a British Dominion?

This is related to a project I'm working on, so I'm not that interested in how we get here.

What would happen if a Dominion (say Australia) underwent a socialist revolution similar to that in Reds: A Revolutionary Timeline - i.e., a socialist party wins a legitimate victory in the elections, the previous government attempts a counterrevolution, and a brief civil war ends with a socialist victory and the former government on the run? Let's also imagine that the new government, not wanting to go to war with the British Empire, makes no attempt to actually break with London, and simply requests a new Governor-General.

Would Britain tolerate an openly socialist government in a Dominion? Or would they try to bring it down? Would having a Labour government in London make a difference?

I assume you mean Salvador Allende- socialist, rather than Harold Wilson-socialist? Because the British would pretty obviously be willing to tolerate the latter.

How far left of a party then? I'm a bit confused on the ideology of the supposed state? I haven't read the TL you are referencing.

Grenada kind of had this happen. Well actually not at all likes this but there was a coup and with it a socialist one party government was established. Who kept the British monarchy.

And Thatcher actually whined and moaned when the Americans ousted the far-left coup plotters.
