The treaty that ended the War of the Second Coalition had a number of stipulations regarding checks on French power projection in Europe . However it also formally recognized the French Republic as the de facto government in power in Paris. At the time Napoleon held the title of First Consul but I wonder, had Napoleon found it necessary convert the Republic to an Imperial state as he did OTL without violating the geopolitical terms of Amiens, would the UK view such as ground for war? If not, how might they react in general?
