Hello, I am currently reading a biography of Napoleon and came across an interesting scenario. During the siege of Acre in 1799 a cannonball came very close to hitting Napoleon, and in fact wounded a nearby officer. What if the cannonball killed Napoleon. Would the Egyptian Expedition collapse in a more spectacular fashion than OTL? Would the Directory be able to survive or would it be overthrown be someone else? Would the Second Coalition be able to restore the Bourbons?
