WI Napoleon escapes to the United States?

Gone Fishin'
After his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo Napoleon had tried to escape Europe and escape west to the Americas, but the British blockade preventing this from happening.

Let's say that, somehow, Napoleon is able to get passage on a ship and slips by the British and makes it to the United States. What does he do once he gets there? Would the US government be willing to offer him asylum, or would they simply deport him back to Europe?

If Napoleon is given refuge in the US, would the UK and coalition powers be willing to risk war over the return of Napoleon, or would they be willing to let him spend the rest of his life in the States?

Madison and the US government would not trust Napoleon in America and would probably extradite him to Britain.

I agree that, at least initially, he'd have to hide out or the US would be pressured to return him to British custody. Perhaps after 10 years or so he might become an agitator (of sorts) in local politics or becomes an officer in the US Army, fighting on the frontier. A decade or so after waterloo there might be rumors he was actually Napolean, but they're never confirmed.

He Would probable hide out with a fake name
