WI Margaret Douglas gets knocked up by a Howard

Presumably Thomas rather than his nephew Charles, as her relationship with him seemed to be more serious. This may be out-of-character, but, I mean, she's young and in love.

Now getting pregnant would probably involve a marriage of some kind- either because Margaret insisted on getting married before having sex, having sex after a pre-contract is considered a marriage (or something? That was the argument with Edward IV and Eleanor Butler nee Talbot, anyway), or they get married after realising she's pregnant.

Now, how does dear old Henry react? He's already paranoid and execution happy, and, assuming the relationship comes out at the same time as it did OTL, the Howard's have freshly fallen out of power (alongside Anne Boleyn's head).

Thomas was condemned to death IOTL but it wasn't carried out (though he died in the Tower soon after), does Henry, even more furious, go through with it ITTL?

What about Margaret, would he execute her? Killing someone of royal blood sets a dangerous precedent, but Henry's head will be swirling with white-hot rage and imagining some nefarious Howard plot to seize the throne.

If he does what are the consequences? Presumably a rapid souring of relations with his sister Margaret and James V (he didn't particularly care for his sister- what with his antipathy for the Douglases and all, but her death can be used for diplomatic point scoring. Would blatantly executing someone of royal(-ish) blood affect Henry's standing on the continent?

Margaret most likely insists on marriage, probably using that 'if you loved me' thing to get her way. If that goes through and she's pregnant when the news gets out, Henry might just have her husband executed. Margaret most likely just is sent to her father in disgrace, with her baby (let's say a boy, as sh was 2 for 2 OTL), who is probably treated as at least semi-legitimate.
