WI: Hitler Died During the Beer Hall Putsch?

Most people talk about a Germany where Hitler died in WWI and never came to power. But I very rarely hear theories about where he died mid-rise to power. So what would most likely happen? Would the National Socialists die out, or would someone else keep them a major party?

Gregor Strasser would become the leader, and take the party in a more anti capitalist direction, which would scare off some of the richer people that backed the NSDAP but would give them more support among the working class. I think they could still come to power, while Hitler was a better speaker Strasser was a really good organizer

Gone Fishin'
whole world would have been saved a hangover!, as Will Rogers said something to that effect

More seriously, a lot of people would not have died early

Well, how would Strasser or Gregor do? Would they cause similar levels od damage or would something else happen?
Gregor wanted to be friendly with the Soviets which would allow the Nazis to stay in power. Germany under Strasser would be very antisemitic with things like the Nuremberg laws, but i don’t think the Nazis would go as far if he were in power instead of Hitler. While Goebbels would still play a role in the Nazi party, upper class people like Himmler or Heydrich who planned the final situation wouldn’t be influential

Strasser isn't a Communist, he is a patriotic (and of course anti-Semitic ) German of left wing views. A Strasserite Nazi Germany would probably be rather like a couple of the Mexican Presidents in the sixties and seventies. A lot of friendly rhetoric for the Soviet Union abroad and the secret police turned loose on the Communist Party at home. But unlikely to win power. Hindenburg and von Papen would have been much more wary of him than Hitler who was akin to the right wing of the Social Democrats on economic and social policy -not so left wing they couldn't work with him (or so they calculated). Strasser on the other hand is only just to the right of the Communists. He would probably have Goebbels and Werner Best as key supporters, both were left wing Nazis. But Goering, Himmler, Hess and von Ribbentrop would have bolted the party. And Goering and Hess and von Ribbentrop are the people who could interact with industrialists and rich landowners to keep the party solvent. And Himmler is efficient at the dirty tricks side of things, he doesn't just rely on brute force and ignorance. Himmler recruited Heydrich, Strasser is unlikely to, Otto Ohlendorff is unlikely to join a Strasserite Nazi party.

IIRC Roosevelt terminated backing bank loans to Germany in 1934. Is this correct, and if there is no nazi government would Roosevelt continue encouraging loans to Germany?
