What if say the coup by Soviet Hardliners caused the complete Collapse of order within Russia, with various factions of political and military figures turning on each other?

For the purposes of the scenario, most of the nuclear arsenal were perhaps disabled by troops unwilling to use the weapons on their own soil, or were detonated/destroyed within their launch facilities.

How would this affect the end of the Cold War and Beyond?
