WI: Churchill was shot down over Spain or Vichy France in 1942

What if Churchill's B-24 Liberator was shot down over "neutral" Spain or France in 1942 on his trip to Cairo? What would happen if he was detained by either Spaniard or French troops?

Would the French or Spaniard turn them over to the Nazis (the French most likely will)? Would the Nazis force either of them to hand him over or else?

If they hand him over to the Nazis, would the British fight with a stronger tenacity than ever before, or demoralized in the coming second battle of El Alemein? Would Auchinleck stay in command of North Africa? If the Spaniards hand him to the Nazis, would they be dragged into the war? What would Hitler do to his nemisis?
