WI Brazil joins the Axis

What if Brazil joins the Axis powers in WW2?
When? If America gets into it, Brazil is screwed. If it's just the UK then Brazil might be able to take Guyana, but there's just way too much coastline that the Allies can land an army on and march on the Capital and there's nothing that Brazil can really do about it.

In the 1940's we did not have capabilities to invade anybody. What we had were a lot of resources and a large population. It was the US who equiped and trained the brazilian expeditionary forces, without that kind of help Brazil is a no go for either side.I believe the Us had a plan to invade our northeast tio garantee a base of suply to Africa, and may be the rubber areas in the Amazon region.Brazil had no military forces tio withstand an invasion.

Well may be if you make a pod in the early 1930's were germany build military industries in Brazil, but i think that is ASB,due to the starting base was about nill.

Not very likely. Brazil was far left when the Axis come around. You'd have a better chance trying Argentina.

What are you talking about? Getulio Vargas a right-wing, paternalist autocrat. Some of his initial allies were a Brazilian home-grown Fascist group. Which he suppressed once they took care of the Communists. Hardly "far left".

Not that Brazil joining the Axis is plausible anyway.

Habsburgh is right, Getulio vargas was a right wing paternal autocrat. He issued labour laws that you might say was left wing but they were based on the italian and Mussoline "Carta D'Lavoro".Said That, he was not even close to anything nazy, and England and The US had lot of influence here, except if we had a extremist right wing coup by the"Movimento Integralista" Brazil would not side with the axis powers.Getúlio was not stupid and he saw he had more to gain from the alies than the axis.He got from FDR our first iron and heavy industry:Volta Redonda(iron city)
