I've just seen the movie, Trumbo with Bryan Cranston as film screenwriter Dalton Trumbo who was jailed and blacklisted along side others for their political beliefs.
During the trials of the Hollywood Ten in the anti communist proceedings of the House Un-American Activities Committee, they decided to appeal to the Supreme Court, when the two liberal justices, Frank Murphy and Wiley Rutledge both died.
This led to a now conservative dominated supreme court, which denied them the appeal, what would happen if they lived and decided on the side of Trumbo, Lawson and the rest of the Hollywood ten, and how would that effect the movie industry and america as a whole?
