It's an interesting matchup for this one.

In the Orange corner, we have Ronald Reagan of California. Reagan believes in lowering tax rates and less government spending.

For the Progressives, we have Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts. Although a member of the Kennedy dynasty and hoping to use that popularity to his advantage, he has repeatedly condoned the IRA, meaning that electing him could strain relations with Britain and the Confederacy (where supporting the IRA was banned after links between the IRA and the Nazis were uncovered during WW2). In fact, former CS President Thurmond (Still active in his 70s) was quoted as saying "What's he trying to do, restart the war of 1812?"

And finally, we have John B. Anderson of Illinois running as an independent.

Their running mates are George H. W. Bush (MA), Walter Mondale (MN) and Patrick Lucey (WI).
