In 1987, the CSA has three choices.
The Constitution Party, whose candidates are Sam Nunn of Georgia and Paul J. Hardy of Louisiana. Nunn has pledged to combat drug trafficking across the CS-Mexico border, and to promote reliance on Texas oil instead of foreign imports.
Or the incumbent Democratic Party, with Charles C. Finch of Mississippi and Dick Gephardt of Missouri. They pledge to continue the work of Carter and Connally, and increase taxes.
Alternatively, the third "big name" on the banner is radio shock jock David Duke of Louisiana with Pat Robertson of Virginia, for the re-emerging Nationalist Party. They pledge to shut the CS-Mexico border and "stay out of any war the Yankees and Limeys want to get themselves into".
