Throw Away The Scabbard

I read Throw Away the Scabbard two years ago. While I enjoyed her writing style I found it very insulting. Making Jackson the fun loving care free hero was ridiculous...in general Jackson's men disliked him (except that he won victories) and more importantly practically all U.S. individuals were portrayed as jerks, monsters, or just terrible people.

Also, the Army of Northern Virginia is granted nearly super-human abilities. Sometimes I really enjoyed it and it was very interesting, but many other times it seemed like she felt that it should have been impossible for the AoNV to lose...Gettysburg was a fluke.

Also her portrayal of Longstreet in book 2 was terrible. He is some draconian task master...never mind that all three of his kids died in 1862.
