Well, I got a reference. Everyone, start this video and go for 5:48

Now, read this ending for Comrade Malenkov XD

Loved the reference, Panzer, I loved it.

I just love seeing that immediately after Hitler dies, the entire government just ceases to function and nobody is really capable of doing anything that might solve this teeny little political crisis that may or may not lead to a giant civil war that might kill a lot of people.

I just finished a Magnitogorsk run, it was pretty damn dark at times, especially so when you read the logs and documents that make up the foci.
This said, the ultimate goal isn't raiding Orenburg, or handling the Ural League, or even doing what we must because we can. It's taking in Oskar Dirlewanger for experimentation after he has outlived his usefulness (which, frankly, was before he was born).

Next run is libsoc Orenburg, see if I can't pull something off. I will also mention off-hand that some of the events foreshadowing Japan seem... quite interesting. I wait for the Japan dev diary with antici..........pation.

If you think all of THAT is bad, just imagine what it’ll look like when Dirlewanger is able to plunder all of Russia when the mod comes out!

This brings me something interesting to mind.... Can the 36th rejoin the SS after he dies? Dirlewanger died some times during my campaigns and it is not a instant game over, but another bandit takes over. According to the description of the brigade on the mod the SS wants Dirlewanger dead for the 36th to return home. Imagine the germans on Heydrich SS making a ceremony for the return of the brigade, just to see that it allied with kazakhs and russians that they consider subhumans?

Considering how Heydrich is pretty much Himmler’s puppet in this mod and implements the Burgundian System in Germany if he takes power, I think the presence of non-Aryans in Dirlewanger’s bandit state would be an immediate disqualifying factor.

Herr Meyer would be a better fit for them, considering how the economy in a Germany run by him is basically built on looting.

I don’t think the DSR would be every keen on welcoming the 36th back, since the people in charge of that brigade consist of former SS men, who all fervently believe in National Socialism which the DSR claims to be opposed to.

I believe @Whiteshore is referring to Goering rather than anyone in the DSR. Historically Goering is said to have declared that the Germans could call him Meier/Meyer (a very common name in Germany) if enemy bombers managed to reach the Ruhr. Some sources later re-quoted the boast as him saying that they could call him Meier if enemy planes dropped bombs on Berlin.
