The Horns of Hattin- Just an Idea

Do you mean with a TL where Guy is King and the army marches out etc, or any TL where all manner of events are changed with the result being no defeat at Hattin?

The original idea was for the Crusaders to not advance to the area, but to have Saladin wome to them. Raymond of Tripoli was especially keen to avoid a pitched battle except where and when the Crusaders would have the advantage. But his wife was at Tiberias, and when Saladin besieged it the other Crusaders mocked Raymond for cowardice, and they decided to advance.

What if Raymond's wife was elsewhere? Raymond's strategy would not seem to cowardly. So instead, Saladin must advance to the Crusader army at Sephoria. The Crusaders would be well supplied and might be able to wait out Saladin's army and ttack when it disperses, or force Saladin to attack them at a disadvantage.

But at Hattin itself, the Crusaders were more or less doomed if they chose to fight. One might see a less disastrous defeat, but not victory.

Maybe, after the fall of Tiberias, the Crusaders instead to move towards the fallen fortress, decided to wait at Sephoria the arrival of the Saladin's army...

It was also on Guy. A few years before he had been in a similar situation and did not try to face Saladin in a pitched battle. He shadows Saladin IIRC until he went home then recovered the territory. But he was accused of cowardice for this since he had few supporters as king even though it was probably the right decision. So Guy felt his kingship was on the line here too.

More offensive? The Jerusalemites (?) don't need to go on the offensive, that's the whole point Raymond was trying to make OTL.
