No, of course you're right, no two "historians" ever agree on much in regard to AH - WW2 especially -, and I can't say I necessarily agree with your points, but as I said the book generally worked out well and that's the main point after all!

I read and enjoyed it. It was even pretty good from a novelistic p.o.v.

My one real quibble is that I'd have expected the USSR to implode if it lost that much territory, or at least be unable to maintain any serious military forces. However, that's a judgment call.
