I think at the moment if there was a UK wide referendum on Scottish independence then Scotland would be independent whether it wanted to be or not. Theres a pretty widespread anti scottish feeling at the moment stirred up by Nicola Sturgeon sticking her oar into English politics and the Conservative party playing up to her game. Of course I think the SNP got what it wanted in the recent election and is playing a good long game the worst thing that could have happened to the SNP was a Labour led LAB/SNP coalition with the SNP having to share the blame for any problems. It could have burnt them as spectaculary as the LibDems got burnt.
