Prostate Cancer PSA Over Screening
Due to increased longevity, stress, pollutants in the food supply etc, prostate cancer cells are now detected in autopsies 1% in men 30+, 5% in men 40+, 50% of men 60+, and 80% in men 70+, and rising massively worldwide. PSA figure of more than 4 results in a biopsy, with cancer cells usually being detected, resulting in radiation, seeds, surgery, cryosurgery or hormone treatments, each with many side effects and a vast ocean of iatrogenic suffering including impotency, and some much worse than the disease. Uniquely, prostate cancer is the only malignancy that can co-exist symptomlessly in its host for decades. Famous victims include General Schwarzkopf, Colin Powell, Robert de Niro, Rudolph Giuliani, Colonel Ferguson & John Kerry. PSA screening is now recommended, with huge medical, industrial & pharmacuetical financial interests in the $trillions, despite the fact that only 3% of those with the cancer actually die of it. Screening is controversial: early detection and immediate iatrogenic treatment vs doing nothing for a disease that could have waited decades before being symptomatic. WI screening had become obligatory for any male 40+ who turns up at a hospital or surgery, with 40 million US males with a PSA of 4+ now awaiting treatment?
