President Sparkman

Let's say that MacArthur dies after the Inchon landing so that the allies don't drive to the border. The Americans will be better prepared when the PRC intervenes, if they enter. So the war ends in 1952 with DMZ a hundred miles north of otl.
Truman declines to run. With the war being won Ike doesn't run and Taft is nominated. Stevenson wins for the Democrats and nominates Sparkman for vice president as OTL. Stevenson is elected and then dies.
When Brown versus Board of Education comes along, what does Sparkman do? Since Earl Warren won't be the chief justice, the ruling may be a little different. If Sparkman gets to appoint the chief justice, there could be a larger difference.
If he tries to get around the ruling, he may not be nominated by the democrats in 56.
Even if he is not reelected, I will see one difference. We could have a man on the moon in 1967 or 1968.
One small step for a man. A giant step for spark man.
