Northumbria survives Timelines?

Are there any timelines where Northumbria manages to defeat or deflect the Viking invasion, and it is Northumbria not Wessex that unifies the heptarchy and forms England?

Or even ones where Northumbria manages to survive as an independant entity until at least the 14-1500s?

Northumbria more successful?
It's on a break at the moment but it got to roughly 1400. However it's probably not quite what you are looking for.
