Gibberish.
Clinton was always a Centrist's liberal, exactly the sort to appeal to the middle and right. This was backed up by Hillary in the primaries - center-left and quasi-right voters went for her over Obama until well after he was clearly winning. Obama by contrast is a Liberal's liberal, which is why he was able to utterly dominate Hillary during the primaries, despite being a virtual unknown at the time. The exact thing that helped him then has been holding him back ever since, and allowed McCain to stay in the race.
Young people and black people were eating up the rhetoric, but that's definitely not the appeal of Obama to working class whites, conservatives, etc. They just want to elect Mr. Not A. Republican. Until the Crash, McCain was actually in the lead, despite running in the worst election (for Republicans) in a generation. That's entirely because the Dems picked Obama. Honestly, what could anyone hit either of the Clintons with that they haven't already used? For all that a minority despised Bill, he did leave office with better than 2/3 approval ratings.
