No Hitler and Eastern Preussia independent

POD: Hitler dies in child birth.

Years later, the Treaty of versailles makes Eastern Preussia and independent state. Although it sitll has its german language and culture, it is from now on considered a part of the baltic region, and not Germany.

I know that the question on the impact of an event making the world Hitlerless would be has been the topic of disscusion a million times before on the board, and that many of you think that the 20's/30's would still see the rising of another nationalist and/or antidemocratic movement.

Fine, but with no aschluss hungry national socialists bent on uniting Austria and the german speaking parts of Czechoslovakia, I hope that there will be a diference made to the future of the now independent Ostpreussen. To spur the preussians own desire to from 1918 and on remain independent, add the birth of a preussan nationalist movement, that gain support qiute quickly.

Am I wondering of to ASB territory now or not? and what will the effects be, if Ostpreussen stays independent from Germany in the 20's/30's. Will Stalin just expand westward and eat up Preussia just like he did with Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania?

It does'nt. However, it does bring the effect of no creation of the nazi party.

Technically there are two differet PODs in this scenario, Hitler dies a little child and a different treaty of Versailles. I picked Hitler's death as the main POD since it is the first in the chronology.

Didn't he only eat up Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania after WW2 started?
A thought, though. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, along with Finland, were all part of the Russian Empire. East Prussia was not... So this Republic of Prussia may be left out of a Stalin-conquering spree if it happens, though it may get a Communist Government instated if Stalin feels like it.
Though he may take it for a port iin Konigsberg. I suppose Konigsberg would be the capital of this Prussian state?

That cute little Prussian state would be quite tempting for the Poles as well.
