How likely is it that the Indo Aryan invasions into India never occurred, but a process of Aryanization took place whereby the elites of Indian society adopted Aryan traits (e.g. sanskrit, the caste system, etc)?
I personally don't think this theory is true as it's rare to find people willingly submitting themselves to something as terrible as the caste system.

Definitely do not believe it to be true but would make for a fascinating TL where India still gains some OTL traits(such as sanskrit and the vedas) but never is full blown conquered nor submited to a caste system

How plausible/realistic is the Scythian cultural influences to reach further north of its sphere, including eastern Scandinavia and upper Volga?

What happens if the French keep Madras and the British keep Louisbourg in the Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle in 1748?
Did Louisbourg have much population? Would New Englanders or Nova Scotians move there? How much of an asset would Madras be for France in the 7 years war?

In this case, the New Englanders and Nova Scotians would move to Louisbourg as Louisbourg didn't have much population and Louisbourg being British since 1748 would mean that the British conquer Canada and the Caribbean faster and more Carribean islands conquered from France in the 7 Years War. Madras would be an asset for France in the 7 Years War as it would butterfly the French and Indian need to besiege Madras and it would make it more difficult for Britain to conquer Madras and the rest of India. The best case would be France gaining more of India than the 1755 status quo during the 7 Years War, avoid losing their colonies and their allies in India and even if the 7 Years War elsewhere proceeded as in otl, the French should be able to trade their extra gains in India in the 7 Years War, Madras, Canada, Minorca and British Sumatra for restoration of the French 1755 status quo in the Caribbean in the 7 Years War and hopefully the American Revolutionary War (French Canada could be considered "worthless acres of snow" and a factor preventing the more numerous British American revolutionaries than the French Canadians from aligning with France, preventing France from winning or even fighting and making territorial net gains in the next Anglo-French War/ the American Revolutionary War) to make the best use of Madras. Otherwise, the French could exchange the Austrian Netherlands for Louisbourg (before the Treaty of Aix-La-Chapelle in 1748) or Madras (after the Treaty of Aix-La-Chapelle in 1748) to get Madras and the best use of abandoning the Austrian Netherlands from the French perspective against Britain in 1748.

They would have to drive out the Baltic peoples from the area and settle in near inhospitable land in the north. It is plausible and realistic as migrations happen fairly often but like Scythia/Crimea was far wealthier and more prosperous compared to Northern Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania etc.

When writing a TL how do you decide on a POD?
It depends on the situation. If a TL is influenced by just a single factor, such as Martin Luther or that one confederate soldier who dropped the 191 plan, then you could drop them into scenarios where they take a different course of action, like Martin Luther supporting the German Peasants Revolt or that Confed soldier not dropping the document. The same applies to battles and what not. If you're trying to kill off a nation such as Genoa, learn about wars Genoa partook that would've meant its extinction if it failed to win so and so battle.
If your timeline is based off of something on a grander scale, such as the Catholic Church being dominant all over Western Europe or Jainism being the main religion of India, then analyze the factors that resulted in it not succeeding, and finding something that could've reversed such a trend. Maybe Europe in the 9-11th century faces numerous internal conflicts, and the papacy comes right in knocking and demanding peace be restored, excommunicating those who failed to follow their demands; over time peace becomes more prominent & in order to sanctify their reigns, German nobles would require the papacy always. This is a shit althist but you get the point.
Remember to just be very familiar with the historical period you're working with.

What is the possible maximum population of Sweden could support? how high do you think the it could have been, if wasn't for the devastating black death?

i just recently have a random 1am thought: a maddening south american revolutionary escaped napoleon from st helena and bring him to lead their revolt. He then succeeded and became the emperor, he would later have students that come to him; these "students" later achieve these goals: one liberate india, one helped the Philippines to gain independence, one becomes a great ottoman general who kick russians multiple times, one liberate serbia, one liberate hungary, one liberate poland, etc.

he would have another wife and have multiple sons. when times come, the french people would call out for him and he would abdicate in favor of the heir apparent, then he would sail back to french with some of his family member and regain the title the emperor of the french.

not only this though, i want him later to visit england after becoming the emperor to "diplomacy", but would subtely remark that in the end, he won.

(also i wanted him to meet wellington during this visit cause why not).

Just saying, this seems kinda antagonic (if the Ottomans have a general capable of kicking Russia multiple times, they would also send them to crush Balkan revolts).

On the rest, it seems like a rather religious myth than something that could happen (great general escapes from its exile to secure another empire, has disciples and sons to do great things, etc).

As long as the country can afford to import the necessary amount of food, it can maintain a population of (almost) any size.

Without the Black Death, the population of Sweden might actually just stagnate at its 14th century level. There's a reason why the plague was so devastating, the region was overpopulated. Well, depending on urban and political developments, the country could potentially reach a population of 8 million by 1900, in a best case scenario. IMO

Is it possible for Mexico to develop into a more prosperous country (less corruption, stronger economy, and weaker cartels) with a POD after the Mexican-American War?

How would the population of Sweden be like today, if wasn't for the devastating black death?

Yes. There are a couple POD's that may set Mexico on the right path. The easiest and latest one is to simply have Diaz die or step down earlier, preventing the absolute shitstorm that was the Revolution and the PRI rule that came after. Having a successful Second Empire may be another, or just not having any foreign intervention at all. But the hardest part is ending the cycle of wars that began with the independence of Mexico itself.

The Angevin Empire would be butterflied away by "The Anarchy" not happening.
Not sure I follow the reasoning here. Maybe if King Stephen keeps the crown and is able to pass it on to his own heir. But if Matilda keeps the crown with no Civil War, then her son by Geoffroy on Anjou-Henry II OTL-would inherit pretty much the way he did OTL...

I have a slightly random question: in 1674 - shortly after the Great Fire of London- Sir Christopher Wren was employed to design and construct some new enclosures at the Tower of London. These enclosures were built because, during the fire, as preventative measures, some of the buildings nearby had been blown up in an attempt to create a firebreak, and this had panicked the animals (I'm not sure if anything inside the tower was actually damaged or not).

These renovations were responsible for unearthing the remains believed to belong to the Princes in the Tower.

However, for my actual question...what if Charles II had decided to employ Christopher Wren to build him a whole new palace on the site of the Tower of London? After all, in the last decade, Thomas Blood had gotten in and attempted to steal the crown jewels, so clearly the security there wasn't great. And the royal menagerie housed there was at one of its lows for animals, so it's not like it would cause as much displacement there.

That's assuming Eleanor of Aquitaine still divorces Louis and marries Henry. In an ATL, it's a small chance Eleanor births only daughters to Louis yet again.
