Mexico Without Violent Revolution

Just curious if anyone has any speculations (or could point me to a past thread) about how Mexico could have avoided the revolutions/civil war that afflicted it OTL 1910-1920. I am posting it here because I am mostly curious as to if/how a peaceful change could have come about after the end of the Porfiriato. (whether the OTL political end in 1910, or Diaz's death in 1915). What kind of political/economic/social system could Mexico have successfully (say, lasts for 50 years) peacefully transitioned to?

They would have to reduce the power of the military for one.
Many South and Central American regimes were lead by a military dictator, who took over after overthrowing the previous civilian leader in a coup.
If you can put the military under civilian control, it would help quite a bit.
