Also, what's the red in India . . .

Oh that's a remnant state formed by the post-apocalypse remains of India and the UK (which fled to India following both the Dragon Invasion and the invasion of the White Walkers)

. . . and the rebellion-patches in Europe?

Oh, that's not rebellion-patches. Rome and the surrounding area was completely devastated in the Doom caused by the Dragon Invasion of Europe (even now, they still say "The Doom still rules in Rome.")

Meanwhile, the grey area between Winterfell and the Dracarys Empire is the Gift, an area under the control of the New Night's Watch guarding the Wall, though it's under the suzerainty of the Stark kings.

Are all the red dots in East Asia communists or rebels in general? For something like this it might be best to crack out those things Like Tacos and chuck in a bunch of regional colors for small scale revolts which will soon be crushed. Not that anyone would realize unless they zoomed in to examine each pixel.
how would you signify rebels that hold no territory, while having near-total freedom of movement in the countryside?
Edit: red spray can effect is communist rebels, who just happen to be more common than nationalist rebels, especially with India cooperating with American attempts to smuggle weapons into Burma

Reliquiae Reliquiarum (Remnants of the Remnants)

POD - 1925
Current - 1973

China (Union of Democratic Asian Republic's - UDAR) experiences a revolution to the same effect as Russia (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics), catching the Middle East in the process as well and plunging the Ottomans into a long and disastrous Civil War (Socialist Workers Republics) - hence the French and Brits staying out most of the Ottoman Empire.

Butterflies occur. WW2 happens as close to OTL as possible. Coming to economic grips early on, the USSR experiences its own Civil War (The Great Counter-Revolution as it is known in Russia). It is short and sweet - 6 month conflict, with heavy UN involvement.

Shown is the Comintern ITTL - Before the inclusion of other states after the 1974 Revision of its Charter (Such as the African Federated Republics, and the Bolivarian Union in South America; among many others).

The future from here seems uncertain for communism in Europe. Elsewhere, it seems to be thriving. The world in in semi-terrible shape. The 1st world isn't really suffering much.

Russia, itself (As well as its allies) are a few states that are not to be trifled with. Russia is thriving (albeit with decent US and NATO economic aid for the last 20 years - but not for much longer), meanwhile the Soviet Union to it's west, is decaying on the inside. The first stages of disintegration of the Soviet Union is in T-Minus 6 years, and counting.

A WIP where I gave each country a random number from 1-100, and created a world based upon how each country scored. Equatorial Guinea, Slovakia, Sudan, Malaysia, and Nepal all got 100, while Bosnia, Guyana, Georgia, Algeria and the Central African Republic all got 0. You can generally tell a countries score by the condition of it on the map, with a few exceptions where I went with what looked nice, such as Kazakstan (Which got a low score, but Russia got an even lower score).

The world, on the brink of WWII. Just after this, GB will declare war on France, which will then kick start a massive war involving the entire earth.

In other words, stay tuned.

An amusing idea, TC. Will look with interest for the finished version. What's going on in South Africa?

Bruce

While Lesotho got a 93, and South Africa had a 51, I did not consider Lesotho large enough to annex all of South Africa, so the Equatorial Guineans move in to establish a refueling station on the cape while the Sotho created an empire in the interior.

Did Egypt, Norway & Greece also get zeros or were they just low enough to get annexed by more successful neighbours?

Generally Annexation requires a 50 point difference, but that varies from how large a country is and how many nations they border. Russia gets to live even though Estonia, Lithuania, and China have large scores due to its sheer size.

Egypt, Norway and Greece all had lower scores than their neighbors. Norway had 18 compared to UK's 67, for instance. The other Scandinavian nations also had low scores, so I thought it would be interesting to have the region partitioned between outside powers.

Also, if anyone was wondering how my post-apocalyptic fantasy map is doing, here's an update . . (It's still unfinished, and will have some extraterrestial settler colonies mixed in (due to their planets being destroyed as a result

Who's that in Persia?

I am very interested in this and wait with bated breath for more!

I need a bit of help, guys. is if possible to post thunderous applause on here?

Also, is Turkestan in Russia?

Most of Central Asia, sans Turkmenistan, is Russia. Afghanistan and Turkmenistan are some of Russia's closest allies - out of necessity of course. That part of the world has had several dark chapters as of late.

Where would I find the tool to use this? Just a generic number generator?
