Leon didn't take any of the islands when it claimed. And I don't think it's that farfetched; I mean, Denmark had colonies as far away as Africa and the Caribbean, so I don't think it's that crazy. Plus, naval-empire Basques are awesome.

My proposal for Europe:
Cleaned up the borders for Normandy slightly
Gave the Franks those random bits that Denmark and Normandy took
Respected Denmark's initial claim for that island by Sweden
Transferred some of the Basque islands to Leon

I say keep it Massilia as the name. I like the idea of those people that speak Ligurian (OTL) keeping some form of self identification. We have Basques (Euskara), Lombardi, Venice, and Aquitania ITTL, so a Massilia more influenced by people on the Italian peninsula rather than France would be interesting.

The problem is that it hasn't been Massilia since Roman times. Why not call it Provence, but some Italianised version of the name.

I see your point.

I suggest calling it Ligûria then.

Both the Byzantines and the Lombards dominated the region in OTL, so it may make more sense to go with this name rather than Massilia, Provence, or Genoa.

  1. made Helsinki smaller
  2. given land of Helsinki to Karelia and Turku
  3. made new border for Stockholm/Sweden
  4. made new borders for Vasa/Lapland and Vasa/Turku


What to you think of it ?
