I submit the following questions for consideration by the forum; depending on one's interpretation of the existing evidence and historical accounts, certain of the following PoDs might require varying levels of change to OTL, from major chages to finding evidence.
1: One of the three leading theories as to what caused the second explosion (Explosion of contraband munitions, coal dust explosion, and a second torpedo) is decisively proven in some manner.
2: The German assertion that Lusitania was an armed vessel is firmly proven or disproven.
(Sorry if questions 1 and 2 are a bit awkward, but asking them in that manner is easier than positing the same sentence structure multiple times, and just changing out one or two key words)
3: William Jennings Bryan, the US Secretary of State, is able to win over the rest of the administration to his position on US reaction to the sinking of the vessel, and thus does not resign.
4: WI the official boards on inquiry hold the captain and crew of the Lusitania somewhat accountable for the loss of life?
5: WI the incident in which the Lusitania was caught flying an American flag resulted in a more forceful US reaction?
