Leaked plans of failed prototypes

WI more plans of failed prototypes were leaked to potential enemies or industrial competitors?
For example, during the 1930s Vickers only built one prototype of its “Independent” tank. The VI was huge, with 5 turrets, a huge crew, etc. After a bit of testing, the British Army declined to order any more.
Meanwhile British Lt. Norman Bailie-Stewart ( nee Wright) sold VI plans to the Germans who shared them with Russia. Both Russia and Germany wasted plenty of time and effort to build huge, multi-turreted tanks.

Curtiss SB2C Helldiver had so many initial problems (balance, instability, tails fluttering off, etc.) that it required dozens of changes between prototype and production. All these produciton delays ruined the reputation of Curtiss-Wright and forced Elsy May MacDonald to resign from Canadian Car and Foundary in disgrace.
