Italy bled more in Abyssinia/Ethiopia - 1935

As the title says. During the Italian-Abyssinian War of 1935 could the Italian army end up much more bloodied by the end of it, to the point where their military capability is heavily damaged.

If this happens how would it effect WW2. Would Italy join the Axis, stay neutral and how would it effect later wars, e.g-Albania.

Didn't they use chemical weapons though? Don't know how they're going to beat that.

The Italians did use Mustard Gas on the Ethiopians.

The Ethiopian Army was ill-equipped by the time of the invasion with WWI Fiat 3000 tanks, only 13 aircraft in the entire air force, had various types of rifles that played a bit with logistics. The only way the Italian Army would bleed more is if the British and/or French were involved.

Possibly British and French material support could help and guerilla warfare. Is there no real way for Italy to come out alot worse?
