If Henry the Young King had survived

Henry the Young King was made co-King with his father, Henry II, but he died at the age of 18 from dysentery. If he had survived, who would have been an appropriate wife to sit beside him as the Queen of England?

His younger brother Geoffrey married Constance, Countess of Brittany. Constance was only six years younger than Henry. Would she have been an acceptable bride for Henry? She did inherit Brittany from her father.

Henry is already married to Margaret of France.

I don't think Constance would be an available bride. Constance's father, Conan IV, had already agreed to bethroe her to Geoffrey in 1166 and the marriage was celebrated in 1181. There might be a window for this after Geoffrey's accidental death in 1186 and if Henry the Young's marriage to Margaret of France is annulled but I don't think Henry II would be willing to go for the match. Not to mention the possible future tensions that could be brought as Constance would already have had children by Geoffrey, most notably Arthur of Britanny. Assuming the match would go through, Arthur could potentially find himself as the older brother to the future King of England... Which is far from a good idea if you ask me.

Another possible match would be Alys of France, Margaret of France's younger sister, but she is bethroed to Richard the Lionheart. And potentially Henry II's mistress, which wouldn't grant her popularity among the latter's sons (and might explain why Richard broke his engagement with her).

True. However, it seems that Henry wished to have the marriage annulled because Margaret didn't produce any heirs. Margaret did become pregnant in 1177 with Henry the Young's child but she miscarried and it seems that made her sterile as she had no children afterwards, either by Henri or by her second husband, Bela III of Hungary. So assuming Henry is willing to go for an annulment, it's possible he would get it and seek a new bride to replace Margaret.
