If Africa was never colonized

Was the island known to be inhabited prior to the Malagasy arrival? Regardless, the Malagasy culture was not formed until after those settlers arrived on that island.

Besides, if you want to get really technical, the Malagasy were African originally. They were just returning to their roots! ;)

the OP is talking about colonizing. it doesn't matter who lives somewhere; if others come and set up homes - even on empty land - it is colonizing.


Now you're splitting hairs.

hey, you don't think the settling of the 4th largest island on Earth qualifies as colonization, so you don't have room to complain about my hairsplitting.

Further, if tectonics are your basis of reasoning, then surely Madagascar is not part of Africa;)

its more African than Indian.
