What if instead of sending an invasion force to reestablish the metropole's domination, Napoleon decides to commission Louverture and charge him with harassing the British. How well would Free Haiti do in a war with her neighbors? Might we see similar slave revolutions in Jamaica and elsewhere supported by Haitian arms?
