Gnostic Christians in the east

How would the world hve developed if the Gnostic Christians had taken the place of Islam in the east.

These Gnostics christians don't have a partriarchal society so women can be priests, bishops and leaders of the Gnostic faith.

The Gnostic retail all their own gospels as well as the ones that form the catholic Bible.

Now I don't mean that Islam is butterflied away yat that it doesn't expand east wards due to Gnostic christians and the other faiths preventing it from becoming a major influence in the east.

So how does the world evolve with three major branches of christanity; the Catholics, Orthodox and Gnostic.

Now with Mary Magdalene as a senior figure in the Gnostic church how does Constantine deal with a set Gnostic church in the east way from his power base.

lets discuss

another thought how would the early sppanish & portugese explores deal with another version of christianity that is contradictory to there own.
would the Gnostics be consider heretics or just misguided christains who needed to be guided back to the correct path.

Any discussions of events in the fifteenth century here are irrelevant, given butterflies and the lack of a clear POD. It's nice that you want to save Gnosticism, but that requires makig it more popular, and furthermore, it might be a fourth branch of CHristianity, not a third, given the Chalcedonian and Nicene divides of OTL.
