Ford '76 victory impact in the Middle East

Before Carter won, the US had a mostly anti-communist, pro-Israel militarist view towards the region. Under Carter, however, the view towards the Middle East became more conciliatory, which led to the Camp David Accords.
While they were definitely not perfect, those Accords were a step up from the previous military conflicts between Israel and Egypt. The President of Egypt, Anwar Sadat, was assassinated in 1981 by militants angry at his peace with Israel policy.
Had Gerald Ford won the 1976 Election, what would happen in the region? How would he react to the Iranian Revolution? To the Israeli-Arab conflict? To the Israeli Right-wing victory in the 1977 election?

From what I read, it seems like Jimmy Carter had a more critical view of Israel and wanted a peace process. A Gerald Ford victory could mean that the conflict that took place in South Lebanon in 1978 could end with a decisive victory and the destruction of the PLO, if they happen to be supplied with American weapons and aid.

In fact, in the wake of the '73 war, while Nixon was still president, the US began to adopt an "evenhanded" policy toward the Mideast. Relations with Egypt improved greatly. Gerald Ford continued this policy and after an initial failure, in March 1975, there was an interim settlement in which Israel pulled back to the passes and Egypt regained the oil of Sinai.
I'm not sure a full peace treaty would've occurred as soon as in OTL. The willingness of Carter (or Brezizinski) to include Moscow in the peace process is said to have alarmed Sadat, who went to Jerusalem to pursue his own diplomacy hence derail the US plan.
But if Ford didn't have Brezizinski, Sadat might've gone anyway as the January '77 food riots are said to have convinced him he needed peace ASAP to deal with Egypt's economic woes.

There may not have been much difference. The US had to tread warily with Iran because a serious clash might induce Tehran to turn to Moscow.

Thank you! This makes a lot of sense
