State flag of the Republic of Galicia, 'the Belgium of Eastern Europe'. Credit to Samhanin for the coat of arms.

Looks like Transylvania. Can you explain the symbolism and colours?
Officially, none, it’s one of the flags used by the Hapsburgs in the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria in the 19th century. The resemblance to Transylvania is probably a coincidence, but the colours might come from the coat of arms seen in the centre.

Unofficially, the colours can represent the three largest ethnic groups in Galicia; Jews, Poles and Ruthenians (Ukrainians), the three main regions; Western Galicia, Eastern Galicia and Bukovina, or even blue for the sky, red for the blood shed by its people and yellow for its abundant farmlands.

The original Habsburg-era coat of arms had a crown, but I replaced this for a republican mural crown and a cross patee, which is used in a lot of Polish and Ukrainian heraldry and represents the majority Christian (largely Roman or Greek Catholic) religion of the country.

Great Britain (the island).png

First time posting here. A flag for Great Britain (the island, not the UK). Clockwise from left: St. David's flag for Wales (used an alternate version as not to blend in with the Cornish flag below), St. Andrew's flag for Scotland (changed it from a saltire to fit in more), St. George's flag for England, and St. Piran's flag for Cornwall.

Edit: Fixed St. Piran's flag being out of alignment with St. David's.

Flag of a Commonwealth Australia.
(Had a funny little idea about the Stuarts fleeing to America after the Commonwealth is established, just so for the Commonwealth to flee to Australia in the future duo to some kind of Socialist like revolution in Britain during the late 19th century.

Which one do you think is prettier?
It is a flag for a state in my Nemesis setting. Ceres, an agricultural space nation of South American origin.

The first version is the one you can also find in the thread in my signature, but I'm not so sure about it.
The second one, which uses the astronomical symbol for Ceres, seems a bit too banal to me.

Suggestions?

First kinda makes me think ASEAN and second is definitely Ceres.

But the first one is better imo. The second one is just way too obvious and on the nose.

Dittoing Gokbay but I feel like the symbol and line in first one could be moved to the same spot near the hoist like the second one

Tomorrow i'll post other versions, taking account of suggestions of yours. Thanks.
My suggestion is to combine the two I think using the Ceres symbol in the flag is definitely logical so at least keep that even if it is a scaled down representation.

I put grain instead of Ceres symbol. So I can summon Ceres/Demeter idea without using the astronomical symbol, perhaps too obvious.
