The Caribou is quite nice, but I'd recommend giving it a lighter tone of brown and white neck fur, to better represent the local species. What's the reason behind the stars? I would have assumed American occupation but it's clearly Monarchist and under a British crown.

Well, the three stars stand for the three divisions of Newfoundland, which I'll reveal when both the map and the history are both done.

Well that depends on the blazon of the crest of the arms. In this case the elk is blazoned as "Upon a wreath Or & Gules an elk passant proper" so I guess there is some leeway though I'd be a little careful in making such changes without the blazon expressly stating that it's "such and such species of elk". But that's just my view as one herald.

Making another Robert's method flag, named after our hometown poster, Roberto! You take five random articles on Wikipedia and try to make a flag out of the most relevant nations' own flags. Here is one I just put together!

Kari Tokha - A small town in Haryana, India - I used the Sarnath Lion, national emblem of India
1937–38 Serie C - The 1937 season in a third tier football league in Italy - The arms of Savoy, which appeared on the Italian flag in 1937
New South Wales Department of Planning and Environment - That's self-explanatory - The starsthat appear in the arms of New South Wales
Nóra Nagy-Bujdosó - A Hungarian basketball player - Proportions and colors of the Hungarian flag
Soul Purpose (Angel) - An episode of Angel, which is a TV show, I think American - Thirteen Stripes of the American flag

(edit: ah, looks like I forgot to change the color of the red in the arms to match the stripes! the Deviantart version will be corrected)

This is the flag of Rasengtlan of the Six Eternal Rivers, from my science-fantasy setting, "Years of Sand and Blood".

RSER is a feudal empire the size of China, centered around the capital city-state of Rasengtlan - currently the largest city on the desert planet of Cedkh. Rasengtlan maintains control of its vast empire via control of the eponymous Six Eternal Rivers - the Nlawrotek, Mwadu, So Revne, Kumadi, Daeshhzum, and Arnawkrod. All six are fed by the ice melting off the peaks of the mighty Mount Raseng. Built into the sides of this great mountain and its foothills, Rasengtlan is a city of waterfalls, reservoirs, fountains, canals and aqueducts, with the most advanced plumbing system on Cedkh. Through the use of an intricate system of locks and floodgates, the city is actually able to control the flow of the Six Eternal Rivers, and in doing so, they are able to engineer a predictable flood cycle, similar to that of the Nile Delta, which has turned the drainage basins of the Six Eternal Rivers into an agricultural powerhouse. But it is also through this technology that Rasengtlan maintains its grip on its ocean of subservient and dependent vassal-states.

The flag of RSER is a simple one, dating back to the very first Kerutte of the first Oldblood dynasty, when the Dead-King, Lord Prhungkthuzska, first ascended to his aluminum throne in the stone palace of Wnaraw Kesh over 150,000 years ago (and where he remains to this day). The six blue bands represent each of the Six Eternal Rivers. The six black bands evoke the Aartkesar water god, Raseng Nhanza - Rasengtlan's namesake and paramount patron deity. The white text is an excerpt from the Aartke religion's creation myth, specifically the anecdote where Raseng Nhanza slit his abdomen open and spilled his blood upon Cedkh's soil, which became all of the water on the planet. The excerpt is repeated, first forwards and then backwards (and upside down), to symbolize the importance of Raseng Nhanza and his sacrifice to the people of RSER; the idea being, everyone knows the story no matter how it is told. The text is in Archaic Morgzd - a language that only the surviving Oldbloods of Upper Rasengtlan can speak.

I dunno if y'all are still doing flag requests, but I'd like to request one.

It's for a country known as the "Circle of Steel", an HRE-like entity from the same setting as the RSER flag. The Circle of Steel is an industrial conglomerate of states surrounding an iron desert the size of Alaska, where an entire nation of slaves work to keep the Circle's forges fed with raw materials. The Circle is basically composed of five large nations - the Empire of Ke Manun, the Kingdom of Hrot, the Domain of the Sorcerers, the Anthracite League, and the Confederation of the Many Prosperities. Ke Manun is the dominant state, as it was responsible for unifying the traditionally-disunited states surrounding the Ironsands. All the other members of the Circle are unimportant vassals who swear oaths of tribute to the Circle's Dead-King, Lord Tsurandukaatha, or are vassal-states of the five great nations (who in turn also pay tribute to Tsurandukaatha). The Circle is in many ways the most futuristic of the great empires of Cedkh - churning out such impressive innovations as the railroad and the electric telegraph, along with producing some of the finest artisans, mages and alchemists in Cedkh's northern hemisphere. It almost makes up for the widespread slavery, brutality and ruthless imperialism.

Anywho, my idea for the flag is that it would prominently feature two chief symbols. A grey ring, to symbolize the nation itself. And an owl, also grey and, preferably, resembling the Owl of Athena. Black and green should be prominent colors as well, but other than that, I leave the design to your discretion, though it should be a short square shape, similar to the RSER flag.

ok, so i had my sister design a flag...she is 7 and she told me exactly what to do, she only drew the flower...tell me what you think...

In the wilds of what once was the American State of Michigan, a new empire rises under the red sky of our nuclear-ravaged world. An empire of blood and steel. Of sunshine and rainbows. Every day is another savage chapter in Her drive for conquest. Wary traveler. Beware the Pink Horde. Fear their pony cavalry. Should you be unfortunate enough to fall prey to them, do not bother to struggle. Your fate is sealed. Your God has abandoned you. Those who see the accursed flower banner flying above their heads know that there is nothing more to their lives than eternal slavery in never-ending tea parties. Beware the Pink Horde, dear friends.
