Explain the AH Quote

American businessman and inventor Henry Ford III on the history of aerial transports in the US and his collaboration with Frederick Hodges. Despite the latter's reclusive nature, the two of them managed to form a good work relationship which later developed into an actual friendship.

"You'ze a good foight, Wolverine! As good as Ol' Bale Eye!"
A line from the crossover comic "A Warhammer Wolverine" in which the titular character is accidentally teleported to the planet of Armageddon in the Warhammer 40K universe, in the middle of the late M41 invasion, the "Third War for Armageddon." Wolverine cuts a swath through both sides of the conflict, with little patience for the stupidity and carelessness on the Imperial side, but seeing the necessity of defending the human population from the Orkish invaders. Wolverine becomes a minor legend among the Orks, who refer to him as the "Sharp Humie." The climax of the comic series, from which the line above is derived, involves a "mano-y-mano" battle between the Ork warlord Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka and Wolverine, where Ghazghkull is quite respectful of Wolverine's fighting prowess. The comic was a commercial and critical success, reviving the fortunes of both the Warhammer 40K universe and Marvel Comics. It's popularity would eventually lead directly to the popular Netflix TV show "The Marvels," which first culminated in its fifth season and the formation of the Avengers, as well as the expansive "Warhammer Cinematic Universe." The WCU is widely acclaimed for bringing what was once a niche interest to widespread public support, though many of the game's diehard supporters denounce these "fairweather fans" and what they claim as a lack of adherence to the Warhammer 40K lore.

"Europe is united. Storm clouds gather in the West."
-Tsar Konstantin, commenting on the signing of the Franco-Prussian Entente, 1871
After Prussia announced its intention to establish a united German Empire and declared they only wanted peace in Europe, they invited France for negotiations concerning the new German nation's relationship with France, which established the Franco-German Entente, supposedly aimed against the Anglo-Russian alliance that had been signed the previous year. This would be the set up for the Great War of 1910 - 1917...

An excerpt from President Galveston's Apology Address, which expresses the Texan government's remorse over the practices of slavery and segregation, as well as the country's poor treatment of natives. Texas only abolished slavery in the 1880s following a large-scale epidemic of boll weevil, while racial segregation remained in place until the late 1960s.

"Yes, I did have sexual relations with that woman. I pledge guilty."
--the former Rev. Billy Graham

Once a leading figure in American evangelical circles, the Southern Baptist preacher's career came to an end with this admission before the Board of Directors of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association on Thursday, April 10, 1969. He was forced to address and confirm rumors that he had committed adultery with a young woman who worked for the organization. Graham, after confessing to his failure, voluntarily left the ministry and took up insurance work in North Carolina. He remained married to Ruth Graham for the rest of his life. Both lived quiet, private lives after the revelation of the affair.

The end of Graham's prominent ministry was seen as an affirmation of the so-called "Wilson Rule" by Graham's friend and former colleague Grady B. Wilson, who had gradually split from Graham in the 1940s. Wilson famously insisted that all evangelical ministry leaders working with him refrain from being alone with women with whom they are not married. Some of Graham's critics argued that had he upheld this rule, he might have avoided his career-ending affair.

An alleged line spoken by union leader jimmy hoffa before he is shot to death by a mobster hit team.

The death of jimmy hoffa was at first an enduring mystery as no one really know where he went or if he is killed where is his body located but after years of searching and countless interviews they narrow it down to one spot in indiana as the burial site and sure enough they discovered human remains not long after but this remain controversial as the authorities never performed DNA test on the remains but came to the conclusion that it is hoffa.

Although we never knew how he died some version told that hoffa was offered a box of chocolate rabbit and laughed because by that time easter was long gone but he was told to look behind/beneath the chocolate and there lies a note saying "turn back" and indeed after he turn back according to the story 4 mob hitman was standing with silenced pistol ready to shoot him but another version told that hoffa was shot to death in his car and was buried alongside his car to destroy the evidance in some indiana cornfield.

Victory.

That is what the preachers cry from the spires of their temples.

What commanders tell the soldiers in their service.

The Grand War meets with triumph after triumph.

Day by day, we tear the continent from the Tyrant's grip.

And though we are beset on all sides, with each battle we drive back the invaders, the marauders, THE FORCES OF TYRANNY.

As I speak these words, our forces engage the remnants of the enemy's Southern Front.

Reclaiming lost lands, atoning for old shames.

A crusade to liberate the continent.

Taking the fight to the enemy.

We routed the tyrant's forces at Bordeux.

We broke their Atlantic fleet.

Soon, their foulness will be but a memory.

THAT is what the preachers say.

Belief will not save us.

Lies will not protect us.

But it is our hope that will damn us.

In the spires and the slums, our people sing of victory.

Victory, as the continent burns.

Victory, as the Empire bleeds around us.

Victory, as our people rages against the dying of the light.

Victory...

"As has always been said, a war against Bavaria is a war lost."
Georgy Zhukov commenting on failed attempts by Nazis to retake Bavaria after it's citizens revolted in 1937, essentially becoming independent fighting the Nazis along with the Allies. The failed attempt that spurred this quote, was the fifth one since 1937.

President Wendell Wilkie of the New England Republic, commenting his country's victory against the Texan Commonwealth. Having always bene seen as militarly weak, everyone was quite surprised when New England not only managed to repel the Texan invaders, but also threatened their capital with a tactical idrogen bomb. All this thanks to Wilkie's policies, which strengthened New England both militarly end economically.

"Please, this is just rhetoric! Would any of you actually let their own daughter marry a werewolf?"
In an effort to get the Supreme Court to overturn the laws prohibiting white people from marrying black people while arguing Loving vs Virginia (1967), Bernard Cohen also argued against the laws prohibiting werewolves to marry non-werewolves (the existence of werewolves having been established in 1799) pointing out the problems with those laws as well - basically, all of these laws preventing marriage across lines like race and werewolf status, etc were flaws for the same reasons. The attorneys representing Virginia tried to use the above quote as a point against Cohen's argument, but in the end interracial marriage bans were overturned and the Court greatly loosened restrictions on werewolf marriages, though some remained until the landmark case Murry v Washington in 1978.

"The President is a sociopath and a liar. I think we should reelect him."
Surprisingly, this quote was from former president Donald Trump, who was mocking the myriad of tweets written about his presidency. He even used his middle fingers to create the air-quotation marks, and laughed afterwards. He lost the election, but this brief moment of taking a barb with good humor and grace was greatly surprising, considering his previous record.

"I got tired of waiting."

"I got tired of waiting."
A quote commonly attributed to George S. Patton in reference to his infamous 1947 putsch against the recently elected President Earl Warren of the California Republic. Patton had lost the last election, and he was under the belief that it was inevitable that he would be the leader of California. While this quote would certainly be in character for Patton, the first recording of it was in a Cascadian political cartoon mocking the initial failure of the coup. Unfortunately for California, Patton's forces would regroup, and oust Warren, who managed to escape to exile in Cascadia. Patton would reign until his assassination in 1965 by Huey Newton, the leader of a Californian resistance group called the Black Panthers. Huey Newton would be the Prime Minister of Earl Warren's provisional government upon his return from exile.

"You cant keep pissing off the boss like this man. Not good for your health."

"You cant keep pissing off the boss like this man. Not good for your health."
A quote from a taped conversation between Vice President Gerald Ford and Secretary of State Henry Kissinger in 1973. Ford was addressing a spat Kissinger had with a reporter, notably after Nixon warned him not to antagonize the press needlessly. This came after Kissinger disagreed with Nixon publicly on his foreign policy records while in office, as well as after Kissinger made a snide jab about Mrs. Nixon's expenses while in office.

The second half of the quote was notable in how many theorized that it was in reference to the alleged murder of Nixon's first vice president, Spiro Agnew, who went missing during the 1972 Republican primaries. While Agnew's fate was never conclusively determined, many still used this quote as evidence that Nixon had ordered his vice president to be "taken care of" after allegation of tax fraud came to light. Nixon was never charged with murder, and died comfortably in 1994. Vice President Agnew was declared officially dead in 2018.

"See, this is why I don't talk to reporters."

"See, this is why I don't talk to reporters."
The start of a controversial rant over by President Dick Cheney in 2007. His rant was a rather long and bitter talk that mocked the free press along with mass media and the corporations. Having been sworn in after George W. Bush's passing due to a heart attack, Cheney was deeply unpopular over with the voter base, even since 2005 when it occurred. After the supposed blue wave was rather lackluster in 2006, Howard Dean (who attempted to become DNC leader, but was passed up), would respond in frustration by running in 2008 to prove his colleagues wrong. Dean would be supported by fellow Vermont politician Bernie Sanders and Dean would win the nomination in 2008. Because Cheney's insensitive remarks and lack of charisma along with Dean's "50 State Strategy", the Democrats would retake the House and Senate handily in 2008 and reinforced in 2010. After some difficult, but needed financial reforms to deal with the Great Recession, President Dean, along with Vice President Obama, would expand Medicare and Medicaid, funding it more along with taking his Dr. Dynasaur program nationally to cover the youth. However, the backlash against Wall Street would lead to a resurgence of populist movement, leaving to the US eventually reaching universal single-payer healthcare over in 2012. Dean would win reelection there with Obama winning in 2016 and 2020.

"The relationship between the Hashemite Sultanate of Arabia and the Republic of Israel is a close one, comparable to Switzerland and Liechtenstein."
The good relations of the Hashemite Sultanate and Israel is indeed a very controversial and strange one. Technically the two are close to each other, Israel buying most of their oil and gas from Arabia while Arabia buys most of their food and agricultural products from Israel. It started mainly when Israel aided Arabia to beat and clamp down the Baathist coup of '52, the Arab rebellion of '55, and the Arabian civil war of '58-'61. Where the monarchy was again and again almost overthrown. Thanks to this, Arabia and Israel had very warm relations with each other.

"History Mainly Early Beginings of French and South Haitian Relations

Jean Pierre Boyer, President of Republic of Haiti (South Haiti) knew that in order for (South) Haiti to be a respected and dignified nation, had to make a deal with France, to end the political, and diplomatic. With it he had cut a deal with France, where Haiti agreed to pay reparations worth 200M Francs, in exchange France opened up relations, trade and business with South Haiti. Also denouncing Christophe's Kingdom at north as illegitimate, in an effort to isolate North Haiti completely from the outside world.

Soon after this was made, France signed a deal to buy a minimum of 100M pounds of sugar, 50M pounds of coffee From South Haiti per annum, letting them enter freely. South Haiti also received huge and cheap loans and credit from French banks, investors and lenders. Boosted by this, the South Haitian Agriculture and Economy prospered building wealth for the nation though only for the predominantly mulatto cash crop plantation owners. As unlike in the North, where the land was redistributed to the peasants, the land was kept under the control of the mulatto plantocracy"

An excerpt from the An Economic History of South Haiti by John Edgerton. The book is about the economic history of South Haiti and its relations with other countries, especially North Haiti and France. It won the Tortoisehawk Award for economic history in 1993. The excerpt describe the famous Boyer Trade Agreement in 1922 following the division of Haiti to North and South Haiti.

The nations of South and North Haiti was reunited following the Blue Revolution, which ousted Christophe and replaced it with a democratic government. Since then, the country struggled to balance the attitudes of grudge between the two former countries.

"Noel was a yuri visual novel developed and published by FlyingShine for the PC in 2004. The game was licensed and translated by MegaTech Software in 2005, and released on June 13, 2006 in the United States. The game's story tells of Noel Yoshikawa, an assassin assigned by Emanon to protect a daughter of a rich man named Riri Tenzaki, who is enrolled in a prestigious academy. To accomplish the mission, Noel infiltrates the academy as a newly-enrolled student while acting as a bodyguard for Riri by fighting off Aoi and her various minions.

The game was lambasted heavily in the United States for its then-controversial depictions of the relationship between Noel Yoshikawa and Riri Tenzaki, but later given a more positive critical reappraisal for its handling of LGBT themes. Following the critical vindication, Noel was adapted into an 11-episode anime series by Studio Passione in 2019, and received an all-ages rerelease for Nintendo Switch."

The game quickly became iconic in the LGBT community, but simultaneously it led to a conservative backlash against Japanese media as a whole, with Utah even passing a law banning the broadcast of anime in its borders for supposed “obscene content”. The landmark 2010 case Toei Animation vs Utah would fundamentally undermine obscenity laws in the US as a whole, and in particular made it constitutionally impossible to restrict LGBT media under such statutes.

In popular culture, it became common to use images of the characters from Noel to vandalize conservative instititions and events.

Idi Amin Dada answering to a journalist about his intentions to participate in 1977s World Cup as Uganda's team leader. For Amin, the World Cup was another front in the Cold War, and Uganda's potential victory against countries such as Israel or the "British Empire" (the UK) would suppose a huge geopolitical upheaval and a great moral victory of the Ugandan nation.

When the Ugandan team, to everyone's surprise, won against the UK, Idi Amin went crazy of joy, glee and boosted megalomania. He celebrated the victory for months and made sure to remember it to everyone, although the Ugandan team would eventually lose the semifinals.

"Black conservative sex toy? I'll admit, Hillary, this isn't the first time I hear something like that. This year Vogue called me "the sexiest woman in the world" and my old boss in the army says "I'm the most baddass patriot since Rambo and Eisenhower had a baby". Hey, not that I'm complaining.

But
dismissing a succesful black woman as a "sex toy" because she's attractive and on the "wrong" side? That is the peak of the Left's hipocrisy. America just saw your true face on live TV, and we americans don't like it when they treat us like dirt. Don't you agree, people?"

Republican candidate former Sergeant Halle Berry's response over to Hillary Clinton over in the debate for the 2016 Presidential Election of the United States. No relation to the actress of the same name, Berry was a prominent soldier during the campaigns in Afghanistan and Iraq. After being honorably discharged, she would end up as a model and political activist during the late 2000s and early 2010s before deciding to for president in 2016. Having beaten the various Republican candidates, including a close race in Donald Trump, she would end up over against Hillary Clinton. The response was over a scathing accusation over from Clinton regarding Berry's popularity as a "token" along with Berry's prominent Republican ties despite being a woman of color and dealing with troubles usually caused by Republican attacks on welfare.

The comment would become doubly impactful. First, it would lead to a surge of popularity over for Berry to becoming the first female president, barely beating out Clinton over for the 2016 election and becoming the first female president. However, this would be a pyrrhic victory as despite being a Republican, it did not clear all the issues. Indeed, it just seem to make them worse given the increasing fetishization and the like for women of color on the web. Additionally, for Berry's critique of Clinton being dismissive, she herself was critiqued for being silence on how other women of color in politics were being silenced by her own party. The Berry administration's attempts of rolling back welfare and the like did not go well with alot of people, as the repeal of Obamacare and Berry's stance on abortion would sink her popularity quite a bit along with losses. She would fail to replace Supreme Court Judge Anthony Kennedy because of losing the Senate troubles and controversial picks. Especially since by 2018, the Dems have retaken the House and strengthen their hold on the Senate.

However, the final straw was when Berry's Twitter was hacked and tweeted that would not be running for 2020 from frustration with her party. Due to Berry being on retreat, she was unaware of this until hours later, but by that point, the damage was done. A stream of rather misogynistic comments from Republicans along with a lack of support from her own party would cause Berry to crack. In mid-2019, she lashed out at her entire party for being absolutely incompetent over in a state of the union speech and even retaliating when another politican tried to push her off the stage. Many have noted the irony of the ordeal being a self-fulfilling prophecy as the hacker noted he wanted to see how many people would believe it as part of a social experient. Vice President Pence would assume power and become infamously known for having high unfavorability, especially in screwing up COVID during 2020. This would lead to the rise of Barbara Lee as the winner of the 2020 Democrat choice of Presidency with Bernie Sanders as her running mate.

Berry would later have a press release. Having gotten back to her military roots, she notes that she is not sorry for leaving the "shitstorm". When asked about politics, Berry notes the irony of Hillary Clinton having been not incorrect back in 2016. She was indeed fetishized by conservatives, especially those of color while feeling sidelined and marginalized by them. She notes that at the very least, the disespect she got from the left was because she earned it rather than it because she was a woman of color and how they were willing to meet her more than the GOP ever did. When asked about a return for politics, she has confirmed that she has joined the American Solidarity Party, noting America deserves a functioning party of conservative values rather than just a herd of reactionary hypocrites who don't know what they want. She's moderated alot on her previous stances, including gun control, while having founded an alternate to the NRA (with her noting that she never liked them, even when running as a Republican) and her ultimate ambition would be seeing the GOP no longer exist as a party by 2032. The American Solidarity Party has seen a resurgence, a combination of moderate Neo-Rockefellar Republicans from the north and conservatives of color from the south joining. Berry would praise President Barbara Lee for doing a better job in handling the BS, especially in a crisis, along with praising Sanders for being a better VP than Pence ever was.

"When President Kennedy was voted in, alot of folk were worried about his Cathoic influences. Of course, he was influenced, but we didn't expect that Democrat Kennedy would accidentally lead to the rise of a Christian Democracy party to replace the GOP or for Kennedy's magnum opus (tied with the moon landing), would be reforming America's voting system to match the Irish, that in proportional representation though STV in Congress and IRV fo the president."
